Living with Parkinson’s is tough and living with it during the pandemic has been even harder. This hasn’t stopped Gananoque resident Patricia White from helping those who go what she goes through each and everyday. In September of 2020, White organized a one day Parkinson’s Super Walk. The one day fundraiser, which included a walk around Gananoque and sales of her handmade jewelry, White was able to raise over $1300. She says it has been a struggle day in and day out but her husband has been her biggest supporter. With restrictions White mentioned that it has had a significant impact on her fundraising and is currently making plans to make those events happen. She does have a love for animals and is currently working to get a fundraiser together for abused animals. White says being able to talk to family and friends is helping her get through the tough times and appreciates them being there for moral support.
