Since the fourth grade when her teacher gave her the opportunity to help her fellow classmates with their school work, you could say that Gananoque Secondary School’s Robyn Abelson had the qualities to become a teacher in the future. Music, Drama and History are the subjects she loves teaching her students. Her happiest times are watching students develop throughout the year, from not knowing how to do something, then by the end of the year, becoming an expert at it. Abelson says having a thick skin as a teacher is something you must have and to never take anything that students say personally.
