Jenn Kellar from Thousand Islands Elementary School in Lansdowne was destined to become a teacher you might say. Matter of fact she even adds that in her high school yearbook, the caption next to her graduating picture read the phrase, “destined to become a teacher.” Kellar said there is always something to learn and is quick to say as much as the students learn from her, she says she is always learning from them as well. The pandemic has been tough for all teachers and Kellar says learning the different platforms on how to deliver a curriculum is something that has been difficult. She says as a teacher, no two days are the same but she’s most proud of the recent leadership opportunities she has held, including landing a brief role as an active vice principal.
