The love of teaching and working with children began with her days of baby sitting and camp counseling. Since then Janet Gartley has taken the love of learning to her current position as an elementary teacher at Westminster Public School in Brockville. Teaching was something she thought would be something she would love and has never regretted her decision. Seeing her students embrace something she has taught them is something that makes her happy to do what she does for a living. Even though there have been some challenges along the way its well worth it noting that a former student referred to her as a hero.
