The Brockville General Hospital is advising residents regarding the Wuhan novel coronavirus.
They say they have a stringent screening process, like many other Ontario hospitals.
Patients in the emergency department will also be asked about recent travel history.
President and CEO at BGH, Nick Vlacholias, says they are receiving regular updates on the virus.
He adds that at this time, the screening process is only precautionary.
If you find yourself with a cough or shortness of breath and fever to wash your hands regularly and wear a surgical mask.

“BGH is receiving regular updates from The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Public Health Unit and the Ministry of Health,” says Nick Vlacholias, President and CEO at BGH.
“To protect all of our patients and staff, we are also working with our health system partners to determine how we can best screen, assess, test and treat patients who are suspected of having the novel coronavirus. At this time, these are only precautionary efforts.”
“BGH is conducting business as usual,” said Vlacholias. “If you are sick, we want you to come to the hospital, but please take the necessary precautions. Notify your doctor or a staff member if you have any concerns. As always, our staff, physicians and volunteers are here to help. They are working incredibly hard to keep everyone safe. We ask the public for their patience and support as we navigate this situation together.”
