Tom Dickson: Gan Chev Islanders Coach
It’s been journey that began after his playing career and Gan Chev Islanders Coach Tom Dickson continues to enjoy life behind the bench and coaching some of the top junior players around the area. After getting his start with a local team here in Gananoque he used that as a stepping stone to get to where he is now and is having fun doing it too.
He loves the idea of seeing a team of people who barely know each other at the start of the year, to seeing them come together and end up being one big family as the season goes on.
Commitment is the hardest part and with the players being commited to the team as well as University studies, Dickson and the team management understand that as one of their challenges they must face. Dixon also adds that he does this not for himself, he coaches because he loves the game of hockey.
