Many people like being recognized for what they do, but Joanne Lancaster is one who doesn’t seek out recognition for what she does.
She has a passion for helping others in need through the many organizations she volunteers for,
including the Gananoque Food Bank, and the Local Rotary Club.
She says one of the biggest hurdles with these organizations is to help recruit others to help at various events.
Lancaster says she got started as a volunteer by simply asking to lend a hand and her desire to help people is what keeps her motivated with the organizations she is involved with to this very day.
