On a warm Saturday morning with temperatures with the humidity reaching near the 40 degree mark, residents gathered at the access road at Jerry Park in Lansdowne to honor a former member of TLTI council and major supporter of the community. The access road that connects Jessie Street to Jerry Park is now officially called Harold Emmons Way. Mayor Corinna Smith Gatcke talks about Harold’s dedication to the community.
Harold was a tough man, but would help anyone at any given time.
This was a high priority to the current council.
Many dignitaries were on hand including all members of the current council in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands along with MP Michael Barrett and MPP Steve Clark. The family of Mr. Emmons was also presented with Harold Emmons Way signs.
