POSSIBLE ICE STORM HEADED TO OUR AREA THIS WEEKEND
Environment Canada has issued a weather statement of a potential ice storm for parts of Southern Ontario beginning this weekend. Precipitation will likely start as rain on Saturday with cold winds increasing which will change the rain to freezing rain. Environment Canada says its unclear which areas will be hit the hardest but they do predict this storm to be major in some areas with up to twenty millimeters of ice accumulating. Power outages, fallen tree limbs and power lines will be expected and travel is also expected to be hazardous.
