IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO START CARING ABOUT YOUR TEETH
4/10/2018 7:35:26 AM

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is hoping to get families focused on oral health this month and all months.

That was Bronwyn McFarlane, Certified Dental Assistant with the Health Unit. Not just about teeth, she says it's important for parents to realize that children face the same oral hygiene issues we have when it comes to cavities, gum disease and bad breath. She says taking care of baby teeth is just as important because neglect can lead to larger problems for children. Poor oral hygiene can effect a child's self-esteem, sense of well-being and overall health. Cavities can be painful, impact a child's ability to chew foods properly, and may affect their ability to pay attention at school or enjoy activities. --web--
