INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO A KINGSTON HOUSE FIRE

    No injuries after a house fire in Kingston over the weekend. Emergency crews were called to the Thomas Street unit with reports of flames coming from the home. Rescue crews were met with flames and heavy smoke at the back of the building. Residents were home at the time but everyone was able to exit safely. crews were on scene for several hours to extinguish hot spots in the walls and crawlspace. Damage is estimated at about one hundred and forty thousand dollars. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but in a release the fire department said residents should remember to keep their dryer vents clean and to ensure that they're able to properly vent to the outside.
