TOWNSHIP OF LEEDS AND THOUSAND ISLANDS TO RECEIVE NALOXONE KITS

    First responders in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands can feel a little safer when the get to a call. At Tuesday afternoon's council meeting members of council passed a motion for the fire department to receive Naloxone kits. Mayor Joe Baptista says he feels much better knowing the first responders will be safer with the proper training.

    With the opioid crisis becoming an issue Baptista says it's better to have the proper training in an emergency situation.
