KINGSTON POLICE CATCH TWO IMPAIRED IN AN HOUR
Two people are facing impaired driving charges after two evening crashes in Kingston. In the first incident, police say witnesses reported seeing a thirty one year old local man allegedly run a red light and caused a collision at the intersection of Gardiners Road and Cataraqui Woods Drive at about 10 p.m. Monday. When officers spoke with the accused, they determined he had been drinking and took him to the station for further testing. He was found to a have a little under three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. In another incident on the same night at about 9:15 p.m., a forty year old local man rear ended a car that stopped for a red light at the intersection on Princess Street and Midland Avenue. When police responded, the saw the man walking unsteadily in the westbound lane and learned he had been drinking at a nearby restaurant. Police also took him to the station and found that he had a little under three time the legal limit of alcohol in his system. Both men were charged with impaired driving.
