The Special Investigations Unit has determined no criminal charges will be layed against an Ontario Provincial Police officer who was said to be driving her cruiser carelessly causing her to hit another vehicle on Highway 401 near Gananoque in October of 2016. The seventy eight year old occupant of the hit vehicle was taken to Kingston General Hospital for treatment of a serious injury. The SIU says the evidence was not sufficient enough to lay any charges to the officer.
