KINGSTON MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING DOMESTIC INCIDENT

A twenty three year old man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted his common-law partner and threatened to kill her children if she called the police. Kingston Police say on December 2nd the victim accused the man of returning Christmas gifts and using the money to buy drugs. The accused responded by punching the victim in the ribs. Another incident occurred on December 4th, when the victim again brought up the accused drug addiction. Police say the man gripped the woman by the throat and threw her to the ground. When she tried to leave, the accused tried to stop her and threatened to kill her children if she went to police. The victim was eventually able to alert police, who arrested he man without incident. He has since been charged with two counts of assault and uttering threats.
