10/11/2017 7:04:28 AM

The Kingston Pen tours will continue to make a difference for the United Way of KFL&A. The tours, which began in 2016 in partnership with Correctional Service Canada and the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, saw a profit of over $640,000, half of which went to the United Way. This year, there have been over 80,000 visitors and staff expect over $3.3 million in revenues when the tours wrap up at the end of the month. Bhavana Varma, president and CEO of the KFL&A United Way, says the contributions are huge for their youth programming.
