THOUSAND ISLANDS NATIONAL PARK SET TO OPEN FRIDAY WITH RESTRICTIONS
5/17/2017 6:38:41 AM

On Friday, the Thousand Islands National Park opens for the season. But there's some restrictions in place due to high waters and flooding. For safety reasons, Parks Canada staff say the boat launch and two oTENTiks at Mallorytown Landing, some island areas, and some docks within the park will remain closed. Parks Canada is responding as required to changing conditions and reopening areas as soon as it becomes safe to do so. In the meantime; eight of 10 Parks Canada oTENTiks are currently open to visitors, and 47 out of 62 island campsites continue to be available.
