PROVINCE ANNOUNCES FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR FLOODING VICTIMS

Areas in eastern and central Ontario may be able to get their hands on some financial assistance to help them deal with the burden the flooding has caused. According to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Bill Mauro and Marie-Fance Lanlonde, the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services, the province's Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program has been activated. Areas along the Ottawa River, Renfrew County and Minden Hills are activated under the DRAO program and additional areas are being assessed. Individuals and small businesses affected can visit ontario.ca/DisasterAssistance for more information and a detailed program guideline.
