If you decide to drink and drive, The OPP can guarantee that the luck of the Irish won't be on your side Saint Paddy's is one of the most dangerous days on the roadways sadly, due to impaired driving. Constable Kevin Martin with the South Bruce OPP says that celebrating festivities can be a great time, if you play safe.

Designating a sober driver should be on the top of everyone's Saint Patrick's Day party list, but there are other ways you can help save lives, too. If you plan on drinking alcoholic beverages, remember to plan ahead. Never drink and drive. Also remember that if you're hosting a party YOU are ultimately responsible for anyone that is consuming alcohol while at your home or business. Arrange for everyone to get a safe ride home, or have them stay over.
