MONTREAL MAN ARRESTED, $25,000 WORTH OF DRUGS SEIZED

Over $25,000 worth of drugs has been taken off the streets by Kingston Police. At the end of December, officers from the Street Crimes Unit began a controlled drug investigation. One man was arrested and a warrant issued for the accused who sold drugs. On Wednesday, the Street Crime Unit located the accused driving south on Gardiners Road. Officers stopped and arrested him. During a search of the vehicle, officers found and seized marijuana, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine. The 41 year-old from Montreal is charged with three counts possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of trafficking a controlled substance.
